Many commercial hatcheries and individuals misrepresent the chickens they sell,
claiming they are Ameraucanas and/or Araucanas. Often they are offering “Easter
Egg” chickens, that may lay blue eggs, like Ameraucanas and Araucanas, but
are really mixed breeds and not recognized by the APA or ABA. Before making a
purchase remember the adage “buyer beware”.

Here at Wolf Willow Acres we breed pure bred Ameraucanas. Although we do not
exihibit our birds, we do breed as close to the standard as possible. In the spring of
2010 we will be importing some new birds from a reputable source. We currently
have Large Fowl: Silver, Black, White, and Blue varieties.
We offer farm fresh eggs in
the spring, summer and fall;
and organically grown, grass
fed meat birds in the fall, or
early winter. Usually our
extra roosters are available as
meat birds. Occasionally we
may offer a few breeders in
pairs or trios, or a few
incubator hatched chicks in
early June.
